Starting today, January 12, ~1:15 pm, IMAP, POP, and SMTP services were down.  Restarting these services took some time in order to re-index all mailboxes.

Impact: Mail clients would not have been able to read or send messages through the Science IMAP server.

The IMAP, POP, and SMTP  services have been restored as of 2:00 pm today.
