This morning we were notified of issues with sending email messages through the CoS SMTP server. The issue we found was that the intermediate InCommon certificate had expired at 10:48 am this morning. Systems that did not have a root chain couldn't verify the certificates after that time. This effected sending of email messages through the CoS SMTP server and editing of Drupal 7 CoS websites that use CAS for ONID login authentication. CoS SMTP services were restored around 11:25 am and all major CoS website services were back online as of 1 pm, Saturday, May 30th.
